Physicians, Nurses, and Healers

The Lord's Ministry was full of acts of healing, while His Disciples (later, Apostles) also fulfilled His calling to preach and heal. We see the combination of preaching/healing continue on in the Acts of the Apostles. It also continued on through the lives of women Saints.
Those first 'classed' as Unmercenary Healers were women, while other women worked in the infirmaries or hospitals of Monasteries, and other's still founded hospitals and places of healing.
This page is specifically dedicated to the women Saints who served the Lord in this capacity during their earthly life. (While, if a page was dedicated to the Saints that heal after death, there might be an overwhelming number of names.)
